FAQ

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Do the products contain allergens?

Allergens are substances that are usually harmless to most people, but can be sensitizing in some individuals. Very common in essential oils, they are also present in the natural component of perfumes. Arval products choose perfumes that are free of or have a low allergenic content and only use essential oils for an aromatherapy action in a few lines. It is possible to recognize the presence of any allergens from the list of ingredients, where, if present in the formula, they must be reported.

Do the products contain gluten?

The gluten free claim in the cosmetics sector has a different value than that communicated in the food sector. Celiac disease is a permanent intolerance to gliadin, contained in gluten, a set of proteins contained in wheat, barley, rye, spelt and other minor cereals. It affects the intestinal mucosa, causing a reduction in the intestine's absorption capacity. Cosmetics therefore do not interfere with this intolerance and therefore Arval products do not boast the gluten-free claim.

In addition to this approach, Arval follows the differentiation criterion that involves finding a balance in the use of different oils to reduce the use of palm oil and therefore the environmental impact associated with it.

Do the products have an expiry date?

Cosmetic products do not have an expiry date. The law establishes that only in the case in which the minimum duration date of the cosmetic product is less than 30 months, this must necessarily be reported on the label. This is the date on which the product, appropriately stored, continues to fulfil its initial function and remain safe. This period must be indicated with the wording "Best before ..." followed by the month and year. If necessary, the label also specifies the conditions to be respected to guarantee it. The indication of the minimum durability date is not mandatory for cosmetic products that last more than 30 months because they have been tested to maintain their characteristics unchanged for a longer period if properly stored.

What happens if I use the products after the deadline indicated by the PAO?

The PAO indicates the "Period After Opening" and indicates the recommended period of use, once the package has been opened. After this period, the product may lose its effectiveness and the preservative coverage may be reduced.
